Meta’s Muse can buy from eligible Shopify stores without leaving the app, because Shopify switched direct checkout on for them. Amazon went the other way, with terms that make an agent name itself and leave when asked.
A September 24 notice asks whether the targeting and delivery systems platforms sell to every advertiser are furthering impersonation scams, and whether platforms should have to vet advertisers. Google and Meta are already answering with verification, and legitimate advertisers will feel it first.
OpenAI gave developers six months’ notice and left the replacement column in its deprecation table empty. Adobe’s own list of retired partner models has ten entries dated April to September, so the pipeline has to be built to outlive the model.
